Fayetteville State vs. Livingstone College 2/25

#9 Fayetteville State defeated #8 Livingstone College 70-67 Wednesday night. It was an all around scoring effort by Livingstone as four players went into double figures with Andy Gebru leading the way with 16 on 5-8 shooting.

Livingstone lost despite scoring 25 points off of turnovers and getting 49 points off the bench compared with 22 from Fayetteville State’s bench. FSU did shoot much better though going 49.0% from the field including 55.6% from the three point line compared 39.7% and a dismal 22.2% at the three point line.

Fayetteville State looked like they might rout Livingstone midway through the second half as they held a 13 point lead, but Livingstone kept fighting and were in it all the way to the end. Fayetteville State will move on to play #1 seed Virginia Union Thursday night.
