#3 Johnson C. Smith University(19-9) crushed #6 Shaw University(12-16) 82-63 Thursday night as two of JSCU’s scorers post 20+.
Ryan Scott led all scorers with 25 in just 30 minutes of play, and shooting 6-7, 12-16 from the free throw stripe for JSCU, and Jerry Hollins complimented with 21.
Shaw’s bench scored 37 compared with 26 for the starters, and overall they wasted their time at the three point line shooting only 16.7% (3-18) from three. Shaw’s Raheem Smith scored 17 points in a losing effort.
JSCU shot 53.5% for the game in an efficient victory by the Golden Bulls. They will go on to face Virginia State University Friday night.
